Anxiety and insomnia,
addressed with method.

ANSONNIA integrates psychotherapy, psychiatric supervision and continuous biometric monitoring in a single clinical-technology platform, turning physiological data into faster diagnoses and personalized treatment.

Are you a patient, a partner, or an investor?

A mind that won’t stop and a body that won’t rest are the same emergency, seen from two sides.

The problem

A silent epidemic, still underestimated

Anxiety and insomnia are strongly interconnected conditions that affect quality of life, relationships and work performance — yet they are still almost always treated in a fragmented, symptom-only way.

people with insomnia symptoms across the 16 OECD countries analyzed in the study

of the general adult population shows at least one insomnia symptom

The cost of insomnia

A measurable impact on people, work and the economy

Chronic insomnia is not just a personal burden: it generates a quantifiable social and economic cost, today largely invisible to healthcare systems and companies.

44–54
days/year of productivity lost to chronic insomnia
14%
of income a patient would give up to regain their wellbeing
1,3%
of national GDP lost every year (UK, Switzerland estimates) to chronic insomnia

The problem, today

A slow diagnosis, a treatment that often delays the problem

Today, reaching a diagnosis of anxiety or insomnia takes time, and the most common response is still pharmacological: a remedy that eases the symptom but often postpones its cause — a patch over a crack that, left untreated, can become a chasm. ANSONNIA's goal is to reverse this pattern: faster diagnosis, continuous monitoring, and personalized treatment that addresses the cause, not just the symptom.

Today — without ANSONNIA
  • —Slow, often imprecise diagnosis
  • —Almost exclusively pharmacological response
  • —No longitudinal monitoring
  • —The symptom eases, the cause remains
With ANSONNIA
  • —Objective physiological data within weeks
  • —Diagnosis supported by continuous, objective data
  • —Continuous monitoring over time
  • —Personalized treatment that addresses the cause
Who it's for

Who the platform is designed for

ANSONNIA doesn't replace the clinician: it gives them objective, continuous data to base a faster diagnosis and a tailored treatment on.

General practitioners
An extra tool to guide diagnosis faster, with objective data alongside the clinical assessment.
Clinics
Integrates remote monitoring and structured therapy in a single clinical protocol, from diagnosis to treatment.
Hospitals
Reduces diagnostic workload and builds a longitudinal dataset valuable for clinical research.
Our approach

The ANSONNIA model: 4 integrated pillars

Not a course, not just therapy: a clinical, educational and technological ecosystem that guides the person from awareness of the problem to personalized treatment.

01 · Awareness

Surfacing the problem

Awareness of the real impact of anxiety and insomnia on everyday quality of life.

02 · Training

Understanding the mechanisms

Psychoeducation on anxiety, insomnia, stress management and emotional regulation.

03 · Measurement

The distinctive element

Biometric wearables collecting objective data on sleep, HRV and physiological parameters, before, during and after the program.

04 · Intervention

Structured programs

Group work, individual psychotherapy, body-based practices and an intensive residential module.

Technology innovation

Physiological data as a proxy for clinical polysomnography

ANSONNIA's value isn't in the device, but in the data and AI platform built on top of it. We work with wearable biometric devices able to capture, in real-life conditions, signals that today require clinical instrumentation.

  • HRV — Heart Rate VariabilityA direct marker of psychophysiological stress and autonomic nervous system regulation.
  • Sleep architectureREM, deep and light sleep phases: duration and quality, night after night.
  • Body temperatureCorrelated with circadian cycles and anxiety states.
  • Heart rateContinuous monitoring and a recovery score.
Device-independent platform. ANSONNIA's infrastructure is built API-first and multi-device: today we integrate the latest generation of biometric smart rings, tomorrow any wearable — rings, watches, patches — able to provide reliable physiological data and programmatic access to it.

The device

A smart ring built for clinical research

The wearable used today in ANSONNIA's pilot phase is a latest-generation biometric smart ring: a minimal device, worn 24/7, designed for large-scale longitudinal data collection.

Biometric smart ring worn during the day and during sleep

Ultra-compact design

A few millimeters thick and a few grams in weight: among the thinnest and lightest in its category, designed for continuous, comfortable wear.

Materials and durability

Full titanium body, scratch-resistant coating and waterproofing certified up to 100 meters deep.

Battery life

Up to a week of continuous use on a single charge; a quick few-minute top-up is enough for a full day of tracking.

Over 30 biometric parameters

HRV, heart rate, skin temperature, sleep phases and respiratory rate, tracked continuously in real-life conditions.

Clinically validated accuracy

Photoplethysmographic sensors positioned over the palmar digital artery: up to 99% concordance with reference medical instrumentation (ECG, polysomnography) in independent, published studies.

Data platform and privacy

Structured export (CSV/JSON), role-based access, explicit and revocable participant consent at any time, and an option for fully de-identified accounts.

The platform — mock-up

From data collection to the clinical report

A dashboard built for the clinician: aggregated data, AI-generated indicators, and a direct path to the report, whatever wearable is connected.

The pilot phase

A pilot study to validate the model

The pilot phase is designed to validate the clinical model and gather an initial structured dataset, the foundation of the future AI-driven platform. If successful, the program can be extended to larger groups and offered to healthcare and hospital facilities.

The ANSONNIA project has already been presented to, and well received by, Italian healthcare institutions and multinational companies active in health technology.
